a little bit about Ms. Motley
Hoorah, Hooray, I've started a Blog! I guess my first post should tell a bit about myself. I'm 15 and starting next school year will be a sophomore. I get good grades and actually enjoy school for the most part (as long as I find what I'm learning to be either of interest and/or use). I'm not the after school activity type but am in a few groups. I'm a member of the art club, since I love art and enjoy drawing. I'm also in the Gay-Straight Alliance, which is a group that is meant to provide a safe and supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) youth and their straight allies. This leads me to my political beliefs. As you can tell from my being in the GSA, I fully support LGBT rights and would like to get involved in helping the cause. I myself don't choose to label my sexual orientation, but by classical definition I suppose I'm bisexual. I don't care for labels because I feel they come with to many expectations, but since I feel attraction to people of both genders I guess that makes me bisexual. At this point I am also very interested in feminism. I'm just starting to read about the feminist movement, and feminist viewpoints and I find it all very interesting. As you can probablly tell, my political beliefs are on the liberal/democrat side but I don't really consider myself a liberal or a demacrat, what party I want to belong to is still undecided. despite this I am totally rooting for the democrats in the 2008 presidential elections. I agree with the majority of democrat beliefs, and disagree with most republican ones. This makes sence when you consider that I'm a pro-LGBT rights, pro-choice, anti-war bisexual atheist (atheist isn't really the right word tho, seeing as I think their could be a higher being but subscribe to no particular religion, it just saves explanation time). Well that's enough about me for now. Ta ta kiddies.
